Senior Graphic Designer

 

Clearlink is a global leader of intelligent customer experience design with the goal of connecting users to the products they need. As a Senior Designer of the Consumer Brands Division at Clearink, I lead the creative strategy for our world-class Earned Media Marketing department that executes and promotes industry-leading SEO driven content to entertain, educate, and delight our users in order to establish website authority and build brand awareness.

My responsibilities include leading, ideating, and executing creative content across all of our websites for our marketing specialists to outreach to publications within an aggressive link building strategy in order to improve our search rankings and improve our domain authority. Alongside Earned Media, I also focus on the higher-level initiatives of our creative strategy and the art direction of brand development, video, and social across many teams.

Above, are our top earning websites within Consumer Brands. As senior designer, I take pride in my ability to stay efficient and cognitively flexible in order to strategize and execute content in a rapid output environment while staying unified within each site’s branding guidelines. In 2020 alone, we earned top tier coverage and backlinks on some of the most prominent names in media.

The impact of the Earned Media department and the value of our link building strategy is integral to the success of our websites and the company as a whole. On the MoZ Domain Authority ranking system, the average DA of the external sites we earned backlinks on is 60 (great), with an average cost value per link of $760. With the outreach team having built over 8,262 links in 2020 alone, the estimated market value our team earned last year was $6,279,120. We are positioned to surpass this 20% YoY by the end of 2021. in 2020 we also earned 1,649,419 referrals from Outreach pieces alone, and 4,012,370 referrals from all of our media combined. 2020 was also the first year we implemented a new social strategy which earned a combined number of 101,811 new followers across social channels and earned 345,464 unique click-throughs from social to our websites.

Having completed over 216 unique projects in 2020 alone, it is challenging to show the breadth of work I’ve completed within the Earned Media department at Clearlink. Below are just a few examples of some published pieces, dynamic in content type, including dream jobs, data visualization, mass survey results, resource guides, and more. Everything (aside from stock photography) was ideated, designed, and illustrated by my own hand. The data used in each piece was sourced by our in-house data analyst, Alex Frost. For each project shown below, there typically exists additional assets that may include additional data visualizations, social media assets for instagram, twitter, and facebook, informational graphics for the users, and more (I’m currently working on a new portfolio website with a refined UX to better showcase individual projects in their entirety and their impact).

 

 

Below are two ‘About Us’ videos for two of our brands Let’s Talk and WhistleOut in which I storyboarded, directed, and illustrated the vector graphics for our in-house video team to animate in Adobe Premiere.
